Classical guitarist Michael
Beaumont began his classical studies at Memphis State University
(University Of Memphis) and within 6 months became the first guitarist
to be awarded a full performance scholarship. He has received many prizes
in competitions including the Music Teacher's National Association and
the Annual Beethoven National Competition. He was also the first guitarist
to win the String Concerto Competition at the University Of Memphis.
As a student he studied
with such internationally acclaimed guitarists as Christopher Parkening
& Pepe Romero.
He currently spends the
winters in Tucson, Arizona & the summers in the beautiful Teton
Mountains of Northwestern Wyoming. He maintains an active schedule of
performing, teaching & recording.
